We have a month before our rent payment timing needs to be manually adjusted as we drop below our ability to pay automatically versus waiting until the 5th when we get Patreon funds.

We discussed scheduling an in-face meeting with the membership to discuss our financial situation and to help communicate the nature of the problem.

Karen suggested that we reach out to MECCA (Materials-Exchange.org) to ask about suggestions on how we might fix our fundraising. She also suggested reaching out to BRING.

ACTION: Ben will Reach out to friend on BRING board to ask about fund-raising.

ACTION: Ben will Reach out to Transponder for ideas on fund-raising.

Piotr noted that we have not reached out to our Patreon contacts yet re: our current funding situation. Karen will adapt a previous message that was sent to the Discord for distribution via Patreon.

Karen did a bank run recently, there were no deposits.

Shop status

The shop is a mess! There were still some boxes left from our first camera install session, Ben will try to get back down there to do some more cleanup. Lots of sawdust.

CNC alley has become blocked with someone's project and the breakers are/were no longer accessible. We don't know what the current status is, this may need to be remediated.

Old Business/Action Item Review

Installation of NVR

We will schedule out our next meetup. We will meet at Wednesday at 3PM.

Patreon messaging

Piotr will double check that the new user notification is hooked up. Done!

New Business

Physical key

We have a member who has requested a physical key instead of an RFID key. At one point in the past, he had a physical key but we've had to replace the lock multiple times due to vandalism, physical damage, and door repairs from the landlord. We noted that similar incidents in the future would create an recurring obligation to continue to replace it.

Having physical keys adds logistical challenges, but we figure we can pull it off because of the member's long membership.

Election

November 1st, notification of accepted candidates were announced.

On Saturday after Thanksgiving, voting will begin via opavote.com. Karen will pay to activate the election.

Motion: Piotr moved that the Eugene Makerspace Board of Directors Authorize Karen use her EMS debit card to pay the Opavote election fee.

The motion was seconded by Ben.

Motion passes, the vote was Unanimous.

Elections will end on December 2nd at 8PM per the governing documents.

Review upcoming events

We have many open hacks scheduled over the upcoming weeks due to generous time commitments from the membership. Our prescheduled Open Hacks will end on December 26th. Our thanks go to Sam Foster for his hard work opening the shop for these events for so long.

Adjournment

Motion: Ben moved that the Eugene Makerspace Board of Directors adjourn.

The motion was seconded by Piotr.

Motion passes, the vote was unanimous.

The meeting was adjourned at 08:04PM.
