Eugene Maker Space Board of Directors meeting September 7th, 2023

Motion: Ben moved that the Eugene Makerspace Board of Directors approve the agenda as amended.

The motion was seconded by Karen.

Motion passes, the vote was Unanimous.

Approve previous minutes

Motion: Karen moved that the Eugene Makerspace Board of Directors approve the minutes from the August BoD meeting as submitted.

The motion was seconded by Ben.

Motion passes, the vote was Unanimous.

Nothing to report.

Treasurer's report

Not present.

Shop status

Karen visited the shop recently and things looked fine. It wasn't at its height of amazingness, but it looks like a completely usable garage/workspace. She plugged in the refrigerator and microwave and both began making happy machine noises so she believes the power splitter feeding them was repurposed.

Old Business/Action Item Review

Installation of NVR

Wednesday the 9th install plan did not happen, we have not rescheduled yet. We will attempt again on Monday at 1:00PM.

New Business

Election

(Recurring item through the end of elections) October 1: Send out notice, call for notifications. End of nominations is October 31.

Patreon messaging

We became aware of a gap in our process if people skip go and go directly to Patreon (without creating a Gatekeeper account) then they may not know what to do next. Karen drafted a welcome message and solicited feedback, the purpose is to tie this into the Patreon system to be sent upon receipt of a pledge.

Review upcoming events

We have many open hacks scheduled over the upcoming weeks due to generous time commitments from the membership.
